Gokyo Renjo La Pass holds a rich legacy of Trading and Trekking. For generations, locals have been engaged in trade on this pass, with merchants still today transporting yaks, butter, salt, and cheese to Gokyo from villages like Namche and Thame. Since its opening in 1992, Gokyo Lake, situated in the picturesque Gokyo Valley, has been a popular destination for trekkers and climbers. The lake, sustained by the glistening waters of the Ngozumpa Glacier – the largest glacier in the area – draws climbers from far and wide, who brave the challenging ascent to reach its serene shores."
